tunnelfly 0 #2 September 21, 2005 Freefall Xtreme Rotorua New Zealand http://www.freefallxtreme.com/ Not sure if they are still operational, but I haven't heard otherwise... Paige 0 #4 September 21, 2005 Bodyflight.net Dawn always has the latest and greatest on ALL the tunnels. She spends a lot of time keeping the site up to date with current and accurate information. She does a fantastic job and has created a great resource for tunnel flyers, skydivers, or anyone interested in Vertical Wind Tunnels. Oh, the Picture of the Week always kicks ass so be sure and check back for that too!Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
Bodyflight.Net 0 #5 September 21, 2005 there sure is... it's just not open to the general public
Paige 0 #7 September 21, 2005 Quotethere sure is... it's just not open to the general public Dawn, we're small, we could handle the challenge of non general public flyers being allowed in Plan A: Sneak in via duffle bag or FedX Plan B: Arrive and drool on windows (or something just as obnoxious) till they let us flyTunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
Bodyflight.Net 0 #8 September 21, 2005 Ya know.. I HAD to LOL because your Plan B.. has got me in all the tunnels I have flown except 1 that I actually paid to fly at.. but only once
bob.dino 1 #9 September 22, 2005 The QLD one? I wish people would stop mentioning it; it just confuses the issue. If it's not running and not open to skydivers, has the tree fallen in the woods? Who cares. It might as well not exist.
Bodyflight.Net 0 #10 September 22, 2005 I personally feel all operational VWTs are worth counting, and since Freeflight are in contact with me... they are certainly NOT off the radar like some others..
base_nz 0 #11 September 22, 2005 Probably no good going to tunnel that exclusive though!! Bit of a waste of time if i get turned away! Especially after the 16 hour drive!!! Looked on the net at the one in NZ though and it looked all right. I might check it out when i go to Taupo... It did look quite small though. Would something that small be able to accommodate freeflyers???.....And you thought Kiwis couldn't fly!!!!
Bodyflight.Net 0 #12 September 22, 2005 I'm fairly certain there is a photo of freeflying in the NZ tunnel on my site... of course
 bigway 4 #13 September 27, 2005 yeah the tunnel in rotorua is small though it is powerful, you do not have really any space though i have seen people on their heads there. The guys there are great, you will get a nice price if you mention you are a skydiver,,,,,, with all that said, do not go out of your way to go there. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
