freefalljenn 0 #1 November 19, 2005 I just got back from SVO. I met Paige on Sunday when she invited me to be inducted into Tunnel Pink Mafia Sisters. After some sessions of belly flying, I had been working on freeflying (mostly just fumbling around) in the tunnel and was having a really hard time with it and getting very frustrated. I was also having a hard time finding coaching that I could afford. I called Paige on short notice and she agreed to come and coach me for my two evening sessions. We set up an agenda before each of the sessions and went in the tunnel and had fun. She got me through some serious road blocks that I hadn't been able to conquer. She is tons of fun to fly with and very patient. She would fly over, fix my body position and then smile as I realized the correct position flew much better than the position that I had been in. She is very humble about her flying abilities even though she is a bad ass freeflier and one of the best coaches that I have ever had. In addition, she is a sweetie. She drove over an hour and a half to come coach me even though she had only met me once and I crashed into her and Carrie during my TPMS induction. Thanks Paige, if you read this thread. Hopefully I can get back to the tunnel again soon and we can fly together (trying to get back down near New Years). I've been stung by the tunnel bug!!!! lisamariewillbe 1 #2 November 20, 2005 Paige is awesome in the tunnel, Ive not seen it in person but Ive seen videos and pics. Me and Clay get to fly with her soon and I think she will be bringing my boys in the tunnel to. We both excited, besides the fact of the tunnel shes just a all around wonderful person. I hate the tunnel, it makes me feel stuffy... but it is a great place to learn and so its what I must do to try to become proficient in the air.Sudsy Fist: i don't think i'd ever say this Sudsy Fist: but you're looking damn sudsydoable in this
Paige 0 #3 November 20, 2005 Okay, I'm seriously right now. I had so much fun with you and Jake, I can't wait to see you guys again Jenn, you did fantastic in there! Your induction flight was so much fun. Don't worry, Carrie and I have enough time in there that we should have been the ones getting out of your way Your sit flying was improving so fast, a few more sessions and I think you would have nailed it even more than you did. Next trip down, if you keep up your great attitude towards learning, you'll be flying before you know it! I'm so glad I could help you get past road blocks. I know I've had a ton of those and coaching is always the answer for me. I've beat my head into the wall flying more time thinking it was me not getting something, when I just needed coaching. You can have all the time in the world but with out advice, sometimes its waaaaay hard. I know I'm always happy to get pointers, the SVO staff has given me great ones, glad I could pass some of them on. Super glad you had a great time. I can't wait to get pictures from the induction! I'm going to try and get to that tonight after dinner. It's been a long weekend of much needed rest for me Tell Jake I said hello. Miss u both already Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
Paige 0 #4 November 20, 2005 He he he he, you may think differently when you see me fly in person I can't wait to throw you in there and get some Barbie action going on Your boys will fly like birds and we will all marvel at how quickly they pick it up. Kids have no stress or worries so they fly like mainiacs, its great to see! Barbie makes all the worries of the tunnel go away, you'll be thinking of docking on her and not even worrying about the walls. She's great for distracting girls and not letting brains get in the way of flying (Not saying anything bad about girls or our intelligence so please don't flame me. I know when I fly and think too much, I stress out and mess up. If I fly without thinking, things go much better.). Once you feel more comfortable in the tunnel, you'll realize you have more space than you think.
