UK (+ Europe) winter training - Travel or tunnel

Just wondering how the New UK Tunnels will affect the migration abroad during the winter.

Friend of mine is going back to Z-Hills for the new year, unfortunately my funds are a little low, so its probably just gonna be some tunnel time to keep me happy.
