tunnel while ill

Recommended Posts

I am set for tunnel tomorrow but have a horrific head cold...is the tunnel safe to do while suffering from sinus and congestion? We have 2 sessions one for 20 mins the other for 15 mins, and I will be splitting it with another... Any help is appreciated

Tunnel to me wasnt fun the first time, it was scarey... but I realzie the importance of it as far as the learning curve and advancement of my skills or lack there of... Granted it might be different now considering the first time I went was before AFF 1

Thanks for your help, I just wanted to find out if I should find a friend to fly my slot or if it would be fine for me to go in...B|

I'll come prepared with before and after stuff to hopefully help you out. I'd suggest tissues ;) I'll take some Airborne (a gift from the gods), nyquil, pills, etc. If those don't work Percocet will do something to at least make you forget you were sick :D;)

You'll be alright to fly since there is no pressure change like jumping. Just remember to stretch because being stiff and sick is no fun.

CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU TOMORROW :)

You guys are up early, Clay sounded pretty toasty in his message lol! I'm going to give him a call to fix up lunch plans. I'm so excited to see you and fly with everyone. Saturday is going to be a busy day for me, I may have like 5 students :o:D in our evening session. It will be so fun though.

I went to the tunnel last month. The good majority of my sessions in there were with a terrible cold/cough. I took lots of cough medicine, Day Quil NyQuil and Airborne while I was there to try to help. All in all, I still had a blast. Since I have a full face, I didn't even snot on myself once!! ;)

CRAP I dont have a full face.... snot BAD, how can I look cool passing the barbie if I have a face full of that ?:S

A face full of snot looks just fine as long as you are smiling while passing Barbie. The goggles will protect your eyes from the goo. You will have fun. Don't worry!:P

poor barbie will be ruined.... I think barbies hair is not resistent to snot... :D

:D:D:D

Lisa, don't worry about it. You will do fine, sweetie. Also, you will probably not be able to see your faces too well or up close in the tunnel pics. Relax, and it will be fine. You may even have some fun, girlie. You need to stay positive, girl! :)
Btw, Clay also called me late last night and left a message. I can hardly wait to see you (and hopefully him, as well.) You know what I was thinking about this morning, Lisa? I wish that you could come out to Eloy with me for a couple of days to the DZ.com holiday boogie. Flights from here to there are SUPER cheap right now! :)

I can take you out one night, my dear, but I will not be back from South America until 11 pm on the 27th and will be going to Eloy midday on the 29th. Are you working every day, that you are here? (You can PM me.) Are you sure that you cannot fly into Eloy for New Year's Eve or something? You can stay with me. :)

Okay , flying with Paige and Barbie was awesome... of course I had nerves and was scared at times but as soon as Paige would come in the tunnel I started reacting much better to the relative wind... She gave awesome instruction and had me side sliding, turning, and changing levels rather well by the end of the two sessions.... and since I had never side slide before I feel as if I came out of the tunnel with some great knowledge... Im now goign to see if I can get a group of GA girls to make a weekend trip to the tunnel...

Thanks Paige and Ari for everything....
