Paige 0 #1 May 2, 2006 Tunnel 4 Paws Presented by the Tunnel Pink Mafia & SkyVenture Orlando A tunnel flying event raising money for Anita Sanders new not for profit organization dedicated to eliminating the feral cat population of Orlando Florida, Spay The Strays, Inc. Anita was kind enough to round up the tunnel cats, spay or neuter them, and return them to the tunnel. We LOVE our tunnel kitties and are hoping to spread a positive light on Anita’s amazing organization w. the success of this event. All skill levels are welcome (we need awesome belly flyers too for super fun hybrids, come join the fun everyone)!!!! My goal for the event is for everyone to learn new skills, have a great time, and do something you’ve never done in the tunnel before (safely of course). We have so many amazing flyers in the area and we can all learn and support one another (even better, charities too!) through events like this. Aside from sharing our knowledge, experiences, vibes, and smiles, we are helping an incredible organization and everyone can feel great about that! Join us for discounted tunnel time, coaching, and a day of cat adoptions! .::June 23rd 2006 - Coaching for Donations::. 8:30 pm - 9:30 pm (4 slots available, 15 minutes each) 11:00 pm – 12:00 am (4 slots available, 15 minutes each) A few of the best SkyVenture Orlando staff, Bowen, Chris, Dan(ager), Ed, and Randy, are donating coaching for ONLY $20 per 15 minute session! This $20 for coaching is also a donation to Spay The Strays and a tax write off. Cost of a 15 minute session will be $10.84 a minute (x15= $162.60) + $20 for coaching. Grand total for 15 minutes of time and coaching= $182.60. Current rate for tunnel time is $200 for a 15-minute block and $50-75 for coaching: grand total $250-275. For helping Spay The Strays, you save around $100! .::June 24th 2006- Free Fly Festival of Fun::. Freefly Festival of Fun Cat and Kitten adoptions 10am-11am beginning at 10am. 12pm-1pm Get ready for 2 way, 3 way, big way, hybrid, free flying fun!!!! ALL skill levels are welcome (we need more belly flyers too for super fun hybrids, come join the fun everyone)!!!! My goal for the event is to have each flyer learn new skills, have a great time, and do something you’ve never done in the tunnel before (safely of course). Costs for the Freefly Festival of Fun will be: (at most) $217 for 2 hours of flight time! THAT’S $1.80 A MINUTE!!!!!!!! If we fill all 12 slots, time will only cost $130 a person! You won’t find tunnel time cheaper than this. The event costs a wee bit more than a 15-minute block! If we fill all 12 slots we will raise $710 for Spay The Strays...so tell ALL your friends!!!! As the event draws closer or we’ve filled all the slots, I will let participants know the final costs (via email or phone, just specify a contact method and I’ll get back w. ya). Please note it will still be no more than $217 a person for the event (if at least 6 flyers register), it just has the possibility to be less. Come fly, feel good, and be w. friends! Let’s all do lunch after so we can chat over drinks and discuss our awesome flights! People, you should go to this fundraiser for a variety of reasons: 1) The adorable kitties at the tunnel are there because the charity was kind enough to get them spayed and neutered 2) The charity needs funds in order to continue their awesome work 3) Tunnel flying is fun! 4) You get to fly AND help a charity for less than the time would ordinarily cost 5) Paige, the organizer, is awesome! Paige 0 #6 June 26, 2006 Tunnel 4 Paws was incredible. Thanks to our lovely coaches, Bowen, Chris, Dan, and Ed. Friday night was coaching for donations. Gail (adventurechick), David, and Darin flew the night away. One on one coaching improved their flying in just 15 minutes. Those SVO guys are good! After the coaching, the teachers got to play a little and enjoyed themselves. Saturday was the freefly frenzy! Brandon and Ed did a great job spotting. The skill level of participants varied from beginner to advanced. For the majority of it, there were 8 of us cramed in there. The name of the game was....If there is an open apendage, grab it!!!! All in all, we raised Anita $1244 and adopted out 1 kitty. Adam an instructor was eyeing the kitties pretty hard, I'm working on him, he he he. I think Ari's going to get another one though George's brothers are cute We filled the gallery with spectators in awe of everyone's awesome flying. Jason Jerusalem was snapping photos for the event. I can't wait to see how they came out. Jason snapped some rad test shots of my carving around upside down in a shirt and yoga pants. It was rocking! All and all, a great time. For $164 each, everyone flew the better part of 2 hours!!!!! We had one participant not show up and not call so everyone had to split the tab or else it would have been $145 each. Still super cheap tunnel time. Less than $1.80 a minute! Thanks to everyone who was receiving coaching, coaching, controlling, spotting, and flying. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH for an INCREDIBLE event. NeedToJump 0 #10 June 27, 2006 Tunnel 4 Paws was so much fun! From the moment we got in the tunnel, it was non-stop flying, smiles and laughing. We had a wide range of skill levels, but everyone stepped it up and flew their butt off. We managed to pull off some pretty crazy formations. I don’t think I’ve ever been stepped on so much! One of the great things about an event like this is that everybody forgets about trying to fly and just does what is necessary to get the formations to work. I think that everyone surprised themselves with what they were capable of doing. It’s great to see everyone improve so much and have such a great time. I know that I had lots of fun and learned a ton! Thank you to Brandon and Ed for doing a great job spotting, you kept everything safe and didn’t get in the way at all. Thank you to the other participants for being so much fun to fly with and building some great formations. Huuuge thanks and congratulations to Paige for organizing another fantastic tunnel event! Once again you did a great job of coordinating and bringing together a phenomenally fun and successful event, woo hoo, you rock! I can’t wait to see the pictures and for the next event.
