MattM 0 #5 August 4, 2006 QuoteAnyone know what the startup costs are on a new tunnel? Depends on what size you want... as far as SkyVenture goes I think they start at 2mil for the smallest. Matt

That doesn't include land and assembly of the tunnel. Matt
squarecanopy 0 #8 August 8, 2006 A friend of mine and his Dad were trying to get investment info on the tunnel - My secondhand info is that Skyventure Colorado (the recicirculating one) is about a 7 million dollar deal - but if you go to any of the Skyventure websites, they have a tab for investors and I'm sure they would be willing to talk numbers to anyone serious about investing in a wind tunnel with them. Just burning a hole in the sky.....

thelem 0 #11 August 15, 2006 Yeah, but that $350,000 tunnel is portable and only big enough for 2-way (and probably not even really that). Doesn't really compare to something like a skyventure or bodyflight bedford.

Doesn't really compare to something like a skyventure or bodyflight bedford. The portable was very choppy but there was fast air, no sweet spot, and a built in turn from the prop. I LOVED flying the portable, it was super fun to be flying and having canopies landing right next to me! I've done 2 way freeflying in an 8 foot portable tunnel and it was great. Def. not the SkyVenture or Bedford (from what I hear) environment.Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
