Tony suit ZP option

Recommended Posts

Anyone try/own a tony suit with the ZP option for the tunnel? They are around $200 cheaper than an ouragan suit. However the Ouragan suit seems to have been around for more time and a proven design. I flew a Ouragan suit for the first time this weekend and what a difference it made. Now I'm addicted.... :)
Thx,

I'll ask Rusty today, he's probably flown one. His ZP Ouragon is here, a couple of us have flown that. if you haven't flown it much, keep in mind that it's pretty warm to fly ZP for extended periods.

I love my Ouragan ZP suits. I imagine, aside from construction Tony's would be about the same as Nancy's. I for one, love my Ouragan Suits and wouldn't trade them for the world.

Make sure you are ready for crazy power compared to a normal fabric suit. The zp really gives everything 'pop.' Less is def. more in this case.

But...why on earth would you need a zp suit in Eloy?!?!?!? ;):P

I tried Gorillaz Ouragan ZP suit this weekend and it totally was dope. Previously, I was using the student suits and having worlds of trouble keeping afloat for extended periods. As you know I'm a pretty stocky guy 5'8" 195lbs. Since I need to pick up a tunnel suit (my freefly suit is 2 piece) I figured I might as well get a ZP. This at least gets me to a level field as lighter/taller guys. I must say after flying that suit compared to the student suits I was not nearly as tired nor sore as without.

I'm wondering if anyone owns one of Tony's suits yet and can give some feedback. I'm thinking that there is probably only sponsers out there right now since it seems like a relatively new option. I could be wrong though.... Anyone actually purchase one of these suits?

Thanks,

if you are going to buy an Ouragon suit, be very, very careful about who does the measurements. SVCO had tons of trouble with the company as a whole, despite a (previously) good relationship between Nancy and one of our instructors. If the measurements are good, the quality of the suit is good. if the measurements are bad, the company will be of little or no assistance, and their customers service is terrible. One of our instructors ordered a suit before starting to work here, the measurements were taken by a person at Mile Hi in Longmont who was the local rep. He had been trained by Nancy personally. The measurements were not correctly taken, and he (now an instructor at SVCO) ended up selling the suit for less than 1/2 of what he paid because they would no longer help. Nancy actually told him to never contact her again. He had sent it back 3 different times at that point, always paying shipping both ways, paid for alterations that were still not correct, and they then basically told him to shove off. I'll PM anyone interested the entire content of the emails if you don't believe it. We will never be ordering their suits again, not because the quality is low, but because if anything is wrong, you're on your own.

I LOVE my Ouragan Freefly Suit! $$ nor time were limiting factors on my freefly suit choice, but I definitely wanted a tunnel suit immediately.

To this end, I just had a tunnel suit made for me by Freak N Suits (they're based out of Lake Wales). They were reccomended to me by Dan(Ager) at SVO. I have about 45 mins of freefly time with it and I'm LOVING it! They're different than the Ouragan suit, in that they line the inside of the suit's arms and legs with duck cloth & ZP, and the outer layer is like what other SVO suits are made of (not sure what the material is).

The result is TONS of lift, without all the baggy-ness and fatigue associated with other suits I've flown in order to get enough lift at SVO. I was going to go with an Ouragan suit, until the Freak N Suits were recommended to me and I didn't want to wait around for months for a Tunnel Suit. Even with custom design, rush service (15 business days) and shipping, it came out to be UNDER $300 ($280, if I recall correctly). B|

Customer service was very good, she worked with me to make sure I was 100% happy with what I got. PM me if you'd like their #.

Cheers!
