riggerrob 643 #1 September 21, 2009 Rumor - on the DZ this weekend - has it that an investor is looking for other investors to help finance a new wind tunnel at the River Rock Casino in Richmond, British Columbia. That location sounds great because it is close to Vancouver International Airport and has a Skytrain station. How many Seattlites would a tunnel attract? In other rumors, the proposed wind tunnel at Balzac, Alberta (a suburb of Calgary) seems to be on hold.
NWFlyer 2 #2 September 21, 2009 QuoteHow many Seattlites would a tunnel attract? Probably very few if the rumored tunnel near Southcenter Mall (just south of Seattle, near Sea-Tac airport) comes to fruition. But who knows what'll actually get built, when. And of course, if both are there, exchange rates could wind up being a contributing factor in which tunnel looks more attractive."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. NWFlyer 2 #4 September 26, 2009 And all it took was a little googling for me to find this, too: http://www.ufly-seattle.com/ Be interesting to see which one opens first. Either way, it's great for both cities to have options!"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please.
