Scottyb 0 #1 May 26, 2015 I work for a plumbing supplier near Philadelphia and we just did a quote for the plumbing fixtures for ifly KoP . Don't see anything about it anywhere. Any one know of anything?
DiverDave 0 #2 May 26, 2015 i hadn't heard about it, but after seeing your post i did a quick search and found this http://www.umtownship.org/index.aspx?NID=998 on the Upper Merion Township website which says that "Proposed construction of a 5,929 SF indoor skydiving facility in the parking lot of the existing Overlook at King of Prussia Shopping Center." was "Approved by the Board of Supervisors 2/26/2015" The plan is here http://www.umtownship.org/DocumentCenter/View/4647 Looking at the plans, the location will be here: https://www.google.com/maps/place/40°05'34.5%22N+75°24'04.0%22W/@40.092908,-75.401111,363m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x0!6m1!1e1
Scottyb 0 #3 May 26, 2015 It must be a go if we are quoting all the fixtures for the bathrooms. It's about time!
DiverDave 0 #4 May 26, 2015 FYI, they stated during the board of supervisors hearing that they intend to open in November 2015... That would be a fast build.
hokierower 0 #5 June 9, 2015 DiverDave FYI, they stated during the board of supervisors hearing that they intend to open in November 2015... That would be a fast build. It would be, but those structures are pretty easy to put up, especially with skilled trades workers. A lot of concrete and steel, but primarily open spaces. Can't wait for this to open. It's been almost 4 months since my last jaunt up at iFly Toronto and I'm going through some major withdrawal.
DiverDave 0 #6 July 4, 2015 Progress (?) Report: there is now a fence around a small area. And four traffic cones. Photographic evidence attached.
wan2doit 6 #7 July 4, 2015 Looks like a pretty small tunnel footprint - maybe the world's smallest. :)

wan2doit 6 #9 August 13, 2015 It's amazing to see what all it takes to produce all that air in one place. If they dig a hole like that for the Ft Lauderdale tunnel it may look more like a lake.

jbscout2002 1 #13 September 11, 2015 I'm not sure, I'm nowhere close to any of them. I just happened to browse over that ad and then saw your thread and thought I'd share it.
Ashtanga 0 #14 September 19, 2015 Is there any confirmation this is going to open? If so I am excited and will be there all the time.
DiverDave 0 #15 September 19, 2015 Depends on what kind of confirmation you are looking for, I suppose... iFly has it listed as one of their new locations, the township approved the project (with an opening expectation set at the township meeting of late Nov 15), and as you can see from the photos I posted construction is well underway... Until I feel the wind, that's all I know, though :)

JMarcinizyn 0 #17 November 30, 2015 Any updates on when this place should be opening?
DiverDave 0 #18 November 30, 2015 judging only by a totally uninformed impression based on the construction site, I'd say at least a couple of months. They seem to be about done w/ the underground stuff.
