kunosoura 0 #5 December 31, 2009 Never heard of it until mentioned here. For any others interested: http://www.uspa.org/Portals/0/Downloads/Other_SDChesJudy.pdf
skybytch 273 #6 December 31, 2009 Not likely here. Sleeping with the S&TA kinda negates any possibility of receiving an award when the recipient is chosen by said S&TA.

AggieDave 6 #8 December 31, 2009 I do too. I was surprised and really grateful for having received it. They gave it to me for what I have been doing teaching canopy control to low time jumpers and students.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." When I got Skydiver of the Year, it was really special to me because it was a public vote. When I got the Safety Award, that really meant a lot to me, too, because the people who give it to you think you're safe and they appreciate your work. riggerrob 643 #12 January 4, 2010 A few years ago Pacific Skydivers gave a "Safety" award for all the work I did with tandem, IAD and PFF students. They made a big deal out of formally announcing the award at a party and gave me a little engraved plaque. The next year, they gave the "Safety" award to the guy who organized the most "safety meetings." Hah! Hah!
