vanair 0 #101 February 5, 2012 How about just a class 3 medical EXAMINATION. Much cheaper that the actual medical, and none of the BS. This spring it looks like I am going to have a sleep study. I will eventually, cause I want to fly again but for now I would just want to do Tandems. I say again, why are we requiring a medical when the FAA doesn't for LSA instructors teaching students for hire? Not to mention Hang Glider and Para glider Tandems. ozzy13 0 #102 February 5, 2012 THIS IS WHY It has nothing to do with the board or the FAA. You are barking up the wrong tree. Jerry: A class 3 medical was Strong Enterprises and Relative Workshop's doing. It increases the quality of T/I's and increases tandem safety. Bottom line. Tandem is for the student/passenger, not the instructor. Make it as safe as possible for them. If you'd like to talk it over more give me an email and we can go from there. tandem@strongparachutes.com Right from the horses mouthNever give the gates up and always trust your rears!
