TheCaptain 2 #1 October 1, 2013 When the gopro's are stacked on top of each other, what is the preference for which one is used for shooting video and which one is used for shooting stills?Kirk He's dead Jim
Tetrahedron 13 #2 October 2, 2013 The bottom GoPro is preferred for video, because there's less shaking.
parachutist 2 #3 October 2, 2013 Depends on the camera model (Hero/Hero2/Hero3), the model of housing you're using, and personal preference. I like video on top for my setup Chris

skyshimas 0 #6 October 2, 2013 We use video on top and pic on the bottom, because sometimes you can see a bit of bottom camera so I'd rather have it in video than pic. To crop out every pic in that case would be a pain.
parachutist 2 #7 October 3, 2013 Here's a sample from this afternoon, with video on top, photos on bottom. Thanks to Randy for testing out the new Hero3+ Black [inline g0049850.jpg] A short video clip of this jump is on YouTube: http://youtu.be/eGjYeaCiedU Chris
Tetrahedron 13 #8 October 3, 2013 Man, I just got the Hero3+ Black. I haven't even got a chance to jump it yet. That SuperView is pretty awesome! Thanks for that example!
BIGUN 1,406 #9 October 3, 2013 Chris, That is one sexy website, man. Best looking site for any vertical market I've seen in awhile. Good LuckNobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.

parachutist 2 #11 October 9, 2013 I saw your glove/housing at Chuting Star in Deland last week. Not bad, but I thought it might be a big snaggy at the glove/housing juncture. Chuck I'll post some pictures later & maybe you can point out the area you're indicating. I designed that joint to avoid snags, so I'd like to know what you're seeing. parachutist 2 #12 October 10, 2013 Here's the design and some explanations of thoughts that went into it: [inline 01.jpg] [inline 02.jpg] [inline 02b.jpg] [inline 03.jpg] [inline 04.jpg] [inline 05.jpg] Here at my DZ local instructors have about 2,500 jumps collectively on this design, with no snags reported as of yet. I honestly think one would need to try hard to snag something and make it stick Chris
SkymonkeyONE 4 #13 October 10, 2013 Yep, that's the one I looked at. The arrows in your pics do a lot, actually, to explain-away my concerns. It's a very slick setup. I only wish this format had been around a few years ago when I was jumping PC-109 tape camera handycam in Hawaii.... It positively fascinates me how much lighter these new double (video/still) setups are than my old glove setup! It I were ever forced back into that type of work jumping, this would be a top choice for purchase. Good work putting that thing together. Chuck
