grasshopper 0 #1 March 1, 2001 maybe in the profiles you could add jump #s so we can easily know the experience level of who we are talking to. It can be hard to tell who has 2 jumps and who has 2000 with some of these questions and the answers change accordingly.
OmriMon 0 #2 March 1, 2001 i think that there's shold be a link on the forum profiles to that users full profilethat could even be better then just the number of jumps everone have...Free Skies,Omri
BenW 0 #3 March 6, 2001 Sangiro,In the 'Old' DZ.com, you could get a list of the registered users and look at their profiles. I can only seem to access a users profile if I find a message they have posted. Is there any facility like this? Here's hoping!Ben
cyberskydive 0 #4 March 6, 2001 If you go outside the forum to your "MY Dropzone" section, you can look at the bottom of the page there, there is a link to search all users or view all users, there you can see all the "big" profiles.D.Chisolm C-28534webmaster@sunraydesigns.comhttp://www.sunraydesigns.com
BenW 0 #5 March 6, 2001 Thanks! That gives me access to users of Dropzone.com as a whole but it doesn't let me list just the users of the forums. It's the profiles of the forum users that I'm more likely to want to access. Any ideas?ThanksB.
cyberskydive 0 #6 March 6, 2001 Thats a little trickier-LOL, tyhe only way I have been able to do that so far is to click on peoples names or search for their names. Since all registered users across the whole site can access the forum their names should be in the "master" list also. So while it may take abit more searching, the main list might be what your goonna have to do. Unless the have posted before or you know of a name you can search for. All users, forum included are in the main list though. I havent found a way to just search the forum users and I dont think there is one.D.Chisolm C-28534webmaster@sunraydesigns.comhttp://www.sunraydesigns.com
skybytch 273 #7 March 6, 2001 You can access profiles of the people who are currently on the site - click on "who's online", then the name of the person you want to see. I also haven't found a way to access all registered forum users.pull and flare, lisa
BenW 0 #8 March 6, 2001 I liked the 'old' feature of being able to just list the forum users profiles only. Eee, when I were a lad, we used to be able to list the forum users only... Etc...Sangiro,Is there any plan to offer this 'feature'. I don't know how many people would want it though... I can live without it and seeing as you've done an amazing job with the new site anyway, I feel like I'm taking the pi** asking for additional features! But...If it's not going to be available then fair enough - you've provided us with plenty of features anyway. Thanks for the site!Ben
sangiro 26 #9 March 6, 2001 There is no difference between people registered for the forums and those who registered for Dropzone.com. Everything now works off a single registration. I will definately see what I can do to make access to a persons Dropzone.com profile easier. On that you can see information like # jumps etc.In the meantime...do as cyberskydive suggest below.I have to admit I've been taking a little break from web site stuff this week....need some R&R Safe swoopsSangiro
