Italics, Underline, Quote, etc...

When I type a message and click any of the buttons below the text area (code, reply, quote, b, u, i, email, url), the code always shows up at the very end of the message... Even if I place the cursor right at the beginning, it always inserts at the end!
Any thoughts?

Are you simply placing the cursor where you want or clicking on it? Because it places any markup code where I want it, whether I type it inline or go back and insert a code.

What browser/OS are you using?

Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Are you using Netscape or IE? I find that it does that (puts it at the end) in Netscape, and where I have the cursor in IE.

However, with Netscape mail, I miss a whole lot of viruses that go around, so it's a fair trade.

I suspect you're right. Guess you're "restricted" to using the markup icons while composing.

If you place your cursor where you want the markup to start/begin, can you insert it manually i.e. "{b}" for bold (using the proper square brackets)?

Just curious because this sort of aberrant silicon behavior fascinates me.
