I got the notorious "Too many connections"-error for almost 5 hours straight! (0800-1300 EET). Was there something wrong with the servers or was the site just unusually crowded?

I get that a lot as well - I looked on the "who's online" bit and there was only about 15 people.

That would have been the number logged on. How many non-members were viewing the site? That could have been part of the problem.

people at work staying logged on whether using the site or not probably plays a big part in this, you'll notice after 17:00 hours it's way easier to log on. a "time out" would fix this, say one hour of inactivity, the site would log user out.

Not relevant - it's about the number of server processes at this stage. I'm working on this....

The too many connection error that i got showed all details. My username, password, perl version, mysql database name/user/password. You might want to tighten the security there a bit.

Done. Two scripts had debugging options activated - because they had never broken before I didn't know. I hope I have them all now.....
