Inline images inconsistency

Inlining images with the [inline] tag works in Preview Post and is listed in Markup Help, but does not work when the message is posted. This caused me a few minutes of headscratching.

Please note: I understand why inlining is turned off (can we say goatse?). This is not a request to turn inlining on.
