skypuppy 1 #1 January 10, 2005 I don't know if it's just me but the last week or so almost 50% of the time that I try to go from the main forum index to an individual forum, ie, general skydiving discussion, I end up with a time out and 'web site not responding' message. Maybe it's my computer, but I wondered if anyone else had noticed this? I have a dial-up connection.If some old guy can do it then obviously it can't be very extreme. Otherwise he'd already be dead. AggieDave 6 #6 January 12, 2005 Would everyone that's having the problem please do a trace route to see where the connection is lagging at. Then its not a game of "gee, I wonder if its the site or my computer" you know exactly where everything lags and proper steps can be taken to aleviate the problem. For most windows based computers: Open a command prompt. Type "tracert www.dropzone.com" Watch the screen. These pages usually lag so badly that I get timed out or am unable to load them at all: Forums, Classifieds, Photos, Email It happens from home, both from my PC and my laptop (sharing a broadband connection. Nobody is on in my house that time of day but me. Other websites load fine: Google, Weather Channel, etc. - normal speed for my connection. It also happened from my laptop using a free wireless connection from a hotel I stayed in last weekend (East Coast, same timeframe). Similar situation here (Germany), daily between 12.10 to 12.35pm, no matter from which computer: at office during the week and at home the WE.
