altichick 1 #1 April 3, 2006 Hi I tried to make a clicky link to this BPA document http://www.bpa.org.uk/forms/docs/Form%20215%20-%20BPA%20Reserve%20Sealing%20Method.doc When you try to make it a clicky like this The link gets changed to this http://www.bpa.org.uk/forms/docs/Form20-%20BPA%20Reserve%20Sealing%20Method.doc Which doesn't exist!! Help?? Don't sweat the petty things... and don't pet the sweaty things!
jceman 1 #2 April 3, 2006 I do believe that those "%20"s are really fouling things up, but more of a problem is that apparently you have to be a registered BPA member to access that form in the first place, so you may not be able to link to it anhwho. When I try to go to www.bpa.org.uk/forms I get a 403 or "Access Forbidden" message. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
skymama 37 #3 April 3, 2006 I got a "page cannot be found" with that, Jack. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
jceman 1 #4 April 3, 2006 QuoteI got a "page cannot be found" with that, Jack. Yep -- because I hit the "Post Reply" when I intended to preview it to see if it worked. See my revised post above. IanHarrop 41 #5 April 3, 2006 I got it to work. Instead of copying and pasting the short cut from the page where all the documents are listed, I actually opened the document (no you don't have to join BPA - I'm not a member) and once the PDF document was open I copied the address from there. The basic issue is that there is spaces in the address. "http://www.bpa.org.uk/forms/docs/Form 215 - BPA Reserve Sealing Method.doc" is what I put the mark up URL codes around. http://www.bpa.org.uk/forms/docs/Form 215 - BPA Reserve Sealing Method.doc"Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy

sangiro 24 #7 April 9, 2006 QuoteThe basic issue is that there is spaces in the address That's correct. %20 represents a space. IE inserts those by itself when it sees a space in a URL. If you actually enter them they will often be interpreted as standard characters and you'll get a broken link. Always a good idea to have no spaces in your file naming convention.Safe swoops Sangiro
