what42 0 #1 June 6, 2001 Has anyone ever heard of the Paralert brand audible? I think it's older. I saw one for sale and am curious about the quality of it.Wesley--I want to fly!
skybytch 273 #2 June 6, 2001 You're better off getting a used old style (one beep) Dytter if you can't afford a ProTrack, ProDytter, etc. The Paralert is big, must be mounted outside the helmet, only beeps once, is not supported by the former manufacturer and I'm not sure you can even get batteries for it anymore (don't know for sure what kind of batteries it takes though). The old Dytter is small, can be mounted anywhere a ProDytter, etc, can mount, only beeps once, has excellent support from the manufacturer and batteries are still available from most of the larger gear dealers.pull and flare, lisa

It may be good gear: my ProDytter, allthough it functions great, needs battery once a year and now it had cracks all around the case!!!
Swanee 0 #4 June 7, 2001 Recently bought Paralert batteries here in Australia. Seems to be a standard type and quite cheap (requires 4 batteries)John Swanland E188
