DZ.com sucking up RAM?

I have a pretty new-ish and decent computer at home, loaded with plenty of memory, and FIOS hi-speed connection.

I use IE. Just about no other website makes my computer at home slow down to a snail's pace as this one does. Basically I keep getting get screen-freeze for about 20 seconds until it decides to un-freeze. (I'm not talking about how long it takes a page to load - I realize that's more server/connection, and happens to everyone.)
Cranking up the virtual memory has helped a little, but not a lot. Point is, it doesn't happen with any other websites, just this one. (Yes, I'm sure.) I wish I understood why.

I'm accessing the site (the servers are in Vancouver Canada) from Africa and I don't have this problem.

Delete your IE history and all cookies. Then, restart IE.

Thanks. I'll try it once I get home. But, FWIW, I do clear out the cache daily (sometimes more), and also daily run a program called "CCleaner", which clears a lot of that residual stuff (cache, temp files, etc.) from the registry.
But, I'll try reducing the cache limit now, too. Thanks.

That has to be it - those Canadians. I used to live near the Canadian border, and I'll tell you - they seem nice and all, but they're sneaky.

I been getting the same thing here and I empty my temp files and cookies everyday too, I have been seeing "waiting on http://page.I.googleadpage,blah blah blah something or other when my screen freezes up for 30 seconds> I was here to post a get rid of the damn google ad's post, because it seemed to start doing this once all the stupid flashy banner ads showed up.

I'm still on XP and IE 6.

Hmmm....I thought it was my server's connection that was freezing the pages. I have to re-load them several times to get them to pop up and load. Not every time, but about 70% of the time.

Now you have me thinking that perhaps it's this overloaded and over used web site that's having trouble keeping up with all us post-whores sitting at home with nothing to do.

the site is the slowest I think I have ever seen it. I am not getting errors, but sometimes it takes 30 seconds or more to relize I clicked a link.

p.s. I just hit spell check to proof my spelling. it took 15 seconds for it to happen.
