error entering my location

In the new profile it is possible to specify my location

I enter lat 50.975216 and lon -114.023259

Somehow I end in water near Africa on the Equator, rather than in Alberta where I belong

i also get the same, when i use zoom & pan to get to my location i also do not see a way to save it and when i go back to the page i am back in africa again

I have entered this several times and it continues to show me in the ocean, near Africa.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

try just clicking and dragging the controls on the map to your location then hit update and see whether it works

Good idea. Tedious, but it works. I used this process:

1 - Drag the red marker to my location
2 - Click in the + sign to zoom in
3 - go to step 1 and repeat until you can't zoom in anymore
