OmriMon 0 #3 June 13, 2001 As far as i know, take a tennis ball, make a little cut (about 1") and fill it with lead shots which u can buy at a gun store then take a peice of a pull up cord about 2 and a half inch long and stick it in the cut u made and sot glue it togetherthats it, now u gotta test it and see if it falls in the same fall rate as u fall, if it falls too fast just take out some of the lead, if it's too slow when it's full....well, your'e fucked Free Skies,Omri

tobyiscool 0 #5 September 5, 2002 I've been trying to make a spaceball too no one will tell me how much it has to weigh so i can fall with it on my belly. I used a tennisball with pennies in it and a pullup cord to slow it and make it fall straight. I just need the right weight. 99pennies is a good weight for head down ive heard. good luck and put yourself out over a feild when you jump make sure if you lose it you lose it over an area of nothing to ensure no harm to people or property
PhreeZone 20 #6 September 5, 2002 Have you seen the seen the damage crater left by a space ball that is not recovered? There is a reason you are only to freefly with one if you recieve intense training and show profecency with one and a ball master. As for the details... ask your local STA, they should have the answers you seek....Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

Maybe if somebody could upload a crater shot or two it would help discourage people from attempting to use spaceballs before they are ready, and without assistance from a ballmaster. -- Hook high, flare on time
 Yoshi 0 #8 September 5, 2002 I hear space balls are fun, but untikl you have a proficient ball master jsut go with 2 ways with one person holding base and not moving around. that will help your skill jsut as much and well unless they other guy doesnt pull you wont have any craters to worry about as far as belly balls 101 pennies with 2 1/2" pullup cord worked well... still dont suggest it on belly unless you KNOW you can get it before 6000 feet agl.... hope all goes well.. k_________________________________________ this space for rent.
