Meso 38 #2 October 9, 2014 Hey, We haven't noticed any slowing on our side - but it's quite possible. Can you maybe see if it's an ad slowing it down? It may be noticible by displaying what is taking a while to load. Or by using Firebug (if you're using Firefox). Unfortunately due to ads being geo-targetted, we may not see the same ads you do and in turn not experience any load issues, which makes it difficult to troubleshoot. christelsabine 1 #3 October 9, 2014 Thanks for your reply. Every page on DZ.com looks like an ad page, starting with giant letters on top: VECTOR CHUTINGSTAR HD.untethered The New Amex EveryDayCC Naturally LANGKAWI: Explore 550 million year old natural wonders .... ... below at the end of page: GoPro HD-untethered DRIFT Learn to skydive in Spain Victorinox launches the new INOX watch .... ... top down right side: VECTOR ParaGear Angelfire Reserve Chutingstar .... The above collection is from the time period since I entered DZ. Com.edit: (to type this post, I mean) Many, many ads while I'm trying to change into another forum. I don't remember having seen so many ads here before. I know ads have to be ..... am I doing something wrong, perhaps?? dudeist skydiver # 3105
BIGUN 1,307 #4 October 9, 2014 Meso, I came down here to ask if the Chinese bots are back and saw this. I use adblocker & Ghostery and every forum thread is running about 10-15 seconds for each click. And. clicking on Post Reply just resulted in a fatal errorNobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard. Meso 38 #7 October 10, 2014 Thanks for the feedback with this, we're busy looking into it and I'll be forwarding an e-mail to the server host now to enquire about server stability. There should be between 3 and 4 ads on each page (banner, right sidebar and footer) - if yours is showing differently, please attach a screenshot so that I can verify that it's not something like Malware adding extra ads. But the errors are unlikely ad related.
cvfd1399 0 #8 October 10, 2014 Im still getting this error. Service Temporarily Unavailable The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later. When it is working, it is painfully slow. Today I am from a different computer, and a different IP, so the problem is not on my side. Meso 38 #9 October 13, 2014 We've managed to track this down to an increased number of spam bots targeting the site. We're busy working on resolving it and enhancing security measures for these bots.
