VivaHeadDown 0 #1 June 29, 2001 Anybody have an opinion on Spectre vs. Stiletto? I know the differences, but for those who fly them, why? Size that I'll be looking at is a 150 with a body weight of 165-170 under it.
cousindave 0 #2 February 17, 2004 the spectre is a substantially more docile canopy than the stiletto. most spectre pilots seem to be camera fliers, wing suit jumpers, jumpers with past injuries, and people who just want a soft opening, easy to land canopy. the stiletto was one of the first high performance eliptical 9-cell canopies and has been replaced by the katana. Rather than the Stiletto being replaced by the Katana, I think it is more like the Katana filled a gap between the Stiletto and the Velocity. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies!
