Krishan 0 #1 August 13, 2001 hey everyone, just want to let y'all know, and yes I'm damn proud of it.I got the first Sabre2-150 demo off the line. I put 10 jumps on it last weekend and I must say I'm super impressed. The openings were really really really nice. It's got all the good flying qualities of the Sabre and more. light toggle pressure, decent riser pressure and great glide. Landings were really fun. No wind on a hot day at 6500 feet, they were fast but really swoopable.I hightly recommend this for a beginner skydiver. I was loading it at around 1.35:
skybytch 273 #2 August 14, 2001 I've heard from a couple of people who've jumped a Sabre2; all were very impressed with it. I'm hearing about soft openings and easy landings...We got our first Sabre2 demo in today... too bad for me it's a 120...oh, btw, Krishan... (shameless sales chick mode) we should be getting a Sabre2 150 for stock before the end of this week.... (/shameless sales chick mode)pull and flare,lisa----I am a nobody. Nobody's perfect. Therefore, I am perfect!
Krishan 0 #3 August 14, 2001 Yes I do think it lands better than the Sabre. It levels out with less toggle input than the old one does. Makes for better surfs. I tried some snap front riser hooks up high and then leveled off as if I was landing, that was super fun, you can build up some real speed.Hey, Lisa, I'd buy it right away, only I'm waiting until I demo the Lotus 150 before I make my decision. The Sabre2 is definitely at the top of my list though.

Krishan 0 #5 August 14, 2001 Well I actually already ordered a Lotus 150 and I'll finalize my decision when I try the demo. They have a full money back guarantee. The reason they probably have not replied to your email is that they have been on the road for the past 3 weeks, at Quincy and such. Best way to get a hold of them is to call.813-788-4444, they have thier main number forwarded to their cell phones.
Aviatrr 0 #6 August 14, 2001 I put 5 jumps on the Sabre2 150 loaded as high as 1.5 about a week ago, and I was impressed.. Very nice canopy.. Opened like a Spectre, flew like a de-tuned Spinneto.. I considered buying one, but have opted to go for a Crossfire or Cobalt.. I've got a Cobalt 150 coming for demo in a couple days, and I'll be jumping a Crossfire 139 about the same time.. For somebody just off student status, I think the Sabre2 would be an excellent choice - or even for somebody more experienced that just wants a sporty but easy opening canopy with a decent wing loading range..Mike

Aviatrr 0 #9 August 22, 2001 Quote I've heard good things about Sabre2, and I'd like to demo one.Where can I order one for demo and how long is a waiting list if there is any? As skymedic said, contact PD directly.. Get their phone number off their website.. Ask for Kolla - she is in charge of demo canopies.. As for the waiting list, there will certainly be one.. How long it is will depend on the size Sabre2 you want to demo.. Call Kolla and ask her.. They charge $20 plus whatever it costs to ship the canopy to you.. You are responsible for shipping charges back to PD.. The $20 is for inspection when the canopy gets back to them.. Mike
