drosenberg 0 #1 September 13, 2001 I jump a Dolphin, after I started doing sit and stand jumps and in consultation with my rigger I made the following modifications / improvements to make my 96’ Dolphin (maybe not applicable to a 2000 Dolphin) safer to freefly (at least sit and stand) ::1. I added some Velcro going from the BOC pouch up to the flap, so that any exposed bridle is velcroed to the container and not gust hanging free.2. I added the elastic string connecting the leg straps at the back. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT - I did this after in one jump, after I had many sit jumps and I really fasten the straps, my straps came up to my knee at about 4,500 ft.I immediately went on my back and got the strap back up, then to my box position and pulled at 3,000 ft. THIS WAS NOT FUN!!!3. Make sure the Velcro on the reserve pin flap is strong, if not – replace it.Of course these modifications were made by my rigger on my request.I recommend making these modifications before sit flying a Dolphin.Blue skies and safe landings,DavidSee my photos and video
Dutchboy 0 #2 September 15, 2001 In addition to the velcro you added, the Dolphin 2000 has a bridle cover that runs to the BOC. So the bridle is both tacked down with velcro and covered. The Dutchboyhttp://www.geocities.com/ppolstra

freeflir29 0 #4 September 22, 2001 Contact the manufacturer. I have an old D-2 with the snaps still on it and they said they can put all the FF updates on it for less than $300. They also claim it can be done in about two weeks. Not a bad deal!"This conversation ends right here Captain! You can talk to the ALO when he gets back."-MeClay
