flyinryan 0 #1 February 11, 2002 Can you wash a canopy? There is this great used canopy for sale. It is in great condition, flys great and opens nice. The owner is selling it real cheap because the thing does have the one bad charcteristic of smelling like cat pee. Is there any way I could wash this out? I really don't want to have to pack somthing that stinks but if I could buy it and wash it...Thanks for any advice!

PhreeZone 20 #3 February 11, 2002 If it has been soaked in cat pee you might want to have the canopy stress tested wher the urine was. Urine contains salts and when it dries the salt cyrstals can act as sandpaper. To see where it was soaked at used a black light and shine it on the canopy in a dark room. There should be enough leftover chemicals that the spot will glow. You might also want to look at the lines under the black light. As for tossing it in like a washing machine..... hahaha... Nope.Political Correctness - At least one person at any one time will be offended by something
