Spy38W 0 #1 March 31, 2002 Was just curious about what a protrack does when a person has a cutaway. Does it log both freefalls? --~Captain CutawayI can disassemble a rig in less than 5 seconds...
dove 0 #2 March 31, 2002 Good question! Depending on the malfunction it may never record the first deployment. Don't know - just guessing.dove
mountainman 0 #3 March 31, 2002 I dont think it would log it if you pulled your reserve right away or had an RSL. I just know that there has been some people here who have said that it does not log a skydive if you do a hop-n-pop (without setting it for such). So, if it doesn't log something like that, it would seem to me to be somewhat of the same idea.JumpinDuo.com...come and sign the guestbook.
quade 4 #4 March 31, 2002 I've written to Mads about this recently, I had a couple of hop-n-pops that didn't register anything. Mads wrote me back and said that it takes 5 to 6 seconds of freefall for anything to be logged on the ProTrack. You'll still hear the altitude beeps if you happen to go through the altitudes, it just won't log it.This matches -my- experience with the ProTrack, but I suppose it's possible that under certain conditions you might not even hear the beeps. I do know that the shortest freefall I've been able to get it to log was six seconds.quadehttp://futurecam.com
SkydiveMonkey 0 #5 March 31, 2002 The manual says it only starts recording after 7 seconds of freefall. When you participate in sporting events, its not whether you win or loose, its how drunk you get.
