freebird 0 #1 April 9, 2002 Where exactly is this bridle protector flap on the new javelin? Is the flap protecting the BOC pouch or the bridle routed from the pin to the end of the right flap?? Help me out here.....The longer you wait ........the more sense you get.
nacmacfeegle 0 #2 April 9, 2002 The bridle cover flap is a little flap that meets the boc mouth, and continues into the right side closing flap, avoiuding two possible sources of drama:-1, it means there is no bridle esposed to the wind, absolutely none at all, zip, niet, nada, zilch.2, it prevents you stuffing the bridle over the right side closing flap possibly causing a horseshoe, unlikley yet possible for the severely hard of thinking.CyaD

alan 1 #16 April 11, 2002 Quote2, it prevents you stuffing the bridle over the right side closing flap possibly causing a horseshoe, unlikley yet possible for the severely hard of thinking. The Javelin bridle cover flap is sewn onto the bottom main pack flap. It can make it _more difficult_ to stuff over the stiffener found on the top of the bottom flap, but it will not prevent it. As an experiment, I purposely did a rush job on tucking the bridle in and stuffed it aggressively. It was fairly easy to tuck it up over the stiffener and cause the pc in tow, just as in a rig w/o the cover flap.alan
nacmacfeegle 0 #17 April 11, 2002 Agreed Alan, my bad. Cheez, wrong twice in 24 hours.....But you'd have to be pretty freakin' stoopid, not to mention hard of thinking. But I spose there's no legislating for folks like that......CyaD

A little bit of fun is OK, but the Talk Back Forum is really where you should take this or to private messages. All work and no play sucks, but the majority of readers/posters in this forum come for serious questions and answers about gear and rigging related topics, as that is the purpose of this forum and why it is moderated.
