Expert Cypres Kit Contents

Recommended Posts

Just got a new expert 1 pin Cypres and was trying to work out what it should come with (passing the time until my rig arrives next month :)The unit is in a sealed plastic bag, inside a black belt/hip bag. There was also a separate plastic bag containing a loop, pull up and support disk.
According to the packing list on page 56 of the Cypres User's Guide I should also have:
elasticated housing
pocket for control unit
2 1-pin loops
2 support discs
strip of velcro
pull up
Am I missing some bits or is the packing list out of date?
Any help/info appreciated,
James

As long as your new container is "Cypres Ready" you have everything you need (all you "need" is the Cypres unit). If your container is not Cypres Ready, any rigger will have the necessary additional items (or will be able to get them). I use the fanny pack to carry my digital camera around.

As far as I know, CyPReS's don't need the pocket for the control unit, as they have been upgraded internaly giving them better protection againsy RF interfereance. This is also part of the service, so no CyPReS should need them now.

Monkey,
I think the "pocket" that is being referred to (listed on page 56 of the User's Guide) is the pocket for the processing unit. Most containers come with one installed (that's part of what Cypres Ready means). You are correct that the sleeve for the control unit is no longer needed.

The packing list is out of date. If you have a container that is not Cypres ready you can contact SSK or Airtec and get the parts needed to install it; if your container is Cypres ready you have everything you need. :)pull & flare,
