SpeedRacer 1 #1 July 10, 2002 I want to return to skydiving (after a year away) & I need a reserve re-pack & a new wrist strap for my altimeter. I can't seem to find any riggers in Maryland. I live in Frederick, & work in Gaithersburg, MD. & I don't have time to make any long road trips. But I want to get this done before the weekend of July 20 because Skydive the Point in Virginia is having its 40th anniversary boogie then. Any ideas? Stacy 0 #3 July 10, 2002 you may want to call chambersburg skydiving center (in PA) and ask them. they may know someone in your area, only DZs I know of in MD are out towards the ocean, close to salisbury.
Jessica 0 #4 July 10, 2002 I wish there were some kind of online rigger database...I had a hard time finding a local rigger, too.Skydiving is for cool people only
fasterfaller 0 #5 July 11, 2002 There is a database , it is on landings.com .I believe there is a feature for searching for riggers or a&p mechanics in a certain area .
fasterfaller 0 #6 July 11, 2002 It will take some time on landings but you can find riggers . Just type in your city and work from there . I found riggers listed under pilots and a&p's .

pilotdave 0 #9 July 12, 2002 QuoteCheck with Skydive Delmarva...http://www.parachutesarefun.com/ OUCH! Skydive Delmarva and Parachutes Are Fun are competitors. PAF is in Salisbury, MD, and Delmarva is about 13 miles away in Laurel, MD. Delmarva's site is http://www.skydivedelmarva.com Delmarva's a bit out of the way, but they recently hired a new rigger/gear dealer that is very experienced. Also, you might want to call Delmarva and ask about riggers in western MD. Some of their instructors are riggers that live a lot closer to ya.
