Viking 0 #1 July 11, 2002 I was just wondering if anyone has anything to say about this rig, good or bad lets hear it. http://www.pisa.co.za/sport/products/default.asp?id=6&menuid=02.04.02I swear you must have footprints on the back of your helmet - chicagoskydiver My God has a bigger dick than your god -George Carlin
SkydiveMonkey 0 #2 July 11, 2002 I own one - very comfortable, made very quickly (a month from order to it arriving), and good quality.____________________ Say no to subliminal messages

fasterfaller 0 #7 July 11, 2002 They do have a tso but there are also a lot of top quality U.S. made gear . I have had gear sent to me that was not right from overseas and it was a nightmare to get it fixed not to mention the shipping costs .
SkydiveMonkey 0 #8 July 11, 2002 Roy at Rigs and Things obviously dosn't know his stuff well enough then - they are TSO'd and they're a damn good rig. They will ship it to anywhere you like - if you know people in south africa get them to order it for you and you will save loads as you will get it for the local price.____________________ Say no to subliminal messages
Torild 0 #9 July 11, 2002 Hi Folks, Actually, I do know what I'm talking about (most of the time anyway) when it comes to gear sold in todays US market! After all, it's how I make my living so I can skydive all the time! If you own or buy a Teardrop made by Thomas in Great Britain, then chances are you can use it in the US! However, be sure to check with your rigger before spending any money. However, if you get one from a "dealer" that got one from PISA, and he or she sell it to you, then it will not be TSO'd for use in the US. My company deals directly with PISA on a daily basis, so I do believe we're up to speed when it comes to gear manufactured by them! Now that we all are on the same level.....you may ask why is it that the Teardrop made by PISA, is not TSO'd for use in the US? The answer is that PISA wants to do some more market re-search in the European and the African market with this rig before spending time and money with the already floded US gear market! Rigs & Things will more than likely be one of the first the first companies to sell this rig, if or when it hits the US market. Please feel free to e-mail us anytime should you have any other questions about any type of gear! Safe Skies, Roy.Don't Pull Low....unless You are!!! SkydiveMonkey 0 #10 July 11, 2002 Sorry man - just re-read my post and I came over a little harsh !! No offense intended. My rig has TSO c23d on it so I assume it's cool for us use. I live in the UK so US laws don't really bother me that much.____________________ Say no to subliminal messages
SkyChi 0 #11 July 12, 2002 SkyCat has Thomas (TSO'D) Teardrops f/s on their site. The "Classic" w/ the Racer style main container is pictured and the "Superfly" w/ Vector style main container is mentioned in print. I got curious about the PISA version because of the price advantage and knew that Roy would come thru with a good deal. FYI, SkyChi
Viking 0 #12 July 12, 2002 So when you gusy start selling the teardrop will you also carry stuff like free bag/reserve PC?I swear you must have footprints on the back of your helmet - chicagoskydiver My God has a bigger dick than your god -George Carlin
Kirils 1 #13 July 12, 2002 The single pin Teardrop is TSO'd! The 2 pin is not."Slow down! You are too young to be moving that fast!" Old Man Crawfish
Torild 0 #14 July 12, 2002 If, or when it will be available for the US market we will most certainly have all spare components/parts available for this rig! We have asked PISA for a a possible release date, but so far they have not indicated any concrete plans for the US market! I will continue to "bug" them as long as the interest is "up there" for this rig. In the meantime, check out our July specials: Wings Aerial System is 30% off, and get free tie-dye!Don't Pull Low....unless You are!!!

Bummer, in spite of the velcro, it's very well made rig! I recently saw a new Teardrop that had the smallest profile I've ever seen. Gotta get one!"Slow down!
