JFC3 0 #1 August 8, 2002 Does anyone here know anything about the Relative Workshop freefly PUD (or MOD I believe they call it)? Is it like the one Mirage has? I've seen another kind on an older wings container that when you pulled your pilot chute it right away pulled the pin which just does not seem like a safe idea to me. miller 0 #2 August 8, 2002 That system that you saw on the wings container, it's called a "pull out" system. It is an alternative to the "throw out" system. It's not unsafe by any means. Deuce 1 #3 August 8, 2002 I think you're talking about the system I have. It's just a lower profile handle than a hackey, it tucks partway under the flap. I love mine, the handle is always in the same place. A true pud release does pull the pin directly. This looks like that system, but people figure it out when they see the BOC pocket.
