quade 4 #4 October 8, 2002 Zennie -- You're RIGHT! According to www.radioshack.com they are available through their website, but not generally available in Radio Shack stores. http://www.radioshack.com/searchsku.asp?find=960-0431 Also available though 1-800-THE-SHACK.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
skybytch 273 #5 October 8, 2002 Quotebut not generally available in Radio Shack stores. Depends on the Radio Shack store and the employee you deal with. Some seem to be willing to do what it takes to get 'em, others could care less and won't help you at all.
quade 4 #6 October 8, 2002 Well, yes, I know this, which is why I said generally. The web site actually said they were NOT available in the retail stores, but I know that's not entirely true.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
indyz 1 #7 October 8, 2002 Radio Shack employees can put in a special order for anything in the catalog at no extra cost to you. It's a simple process, but some RS salespeople get pissy if they have to do work without getting a commission. If they balk about spending 30 seconds putting your info in the computer, ask to talk to their manager.
PhreeZone 20 #8 October 8, 2002 You can also use the cr2325's or CR2320's with a nickle shim. I've done this for the last 2 battery changes and it only costs me 3.50 for the batteries and they gave me a handful of shims at my local batery store last year for this use.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

rmsmith 1 #10 October 8, 2002 Your local Walmart should have them in the automotive section as the remote control units use these batteries. However, you really should support your local dropzone; with winter on the way every dollar counts!
AndyMan 7 #11 October 8, 2002 I support my DZ more then enough in the summer, thank you very much! I buy mine at my local Radio Shack. Strangely, every time I move the local store has carried them.. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
marcin 0 #12 October 9, 2002 Pro track also works with CR2032 batteries. They are the same size, except that the diameter is slightly less. Much cheaper, easy to get. It worked for me for a couple of hundred jumps now. Marcin
PhreeZone 20 #13 October 9, 2002 32's are slightly thicker then the 30's The first 2 numbers are the diameter, the second 2 are the thinkness. Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

I think you need to spend $25 on an order, so I'm practically set for life with Pro-Track batteries. The mark-up on these at gear stores is just ridiculous. skybytch 273 #15 October 11, 2002 Quoteso I'm practically set for life with Pro-Track batteries. Store them in the fridge... QuoteThe mark-up on these at gear stores is just ridiculous. Yeah, wouldn't want gear stores to make any money so they can stay in business... At a gear store you're paying for the convenience of getting everything skydiving related in one place - and if the store on the dz, well, then you should expect to pay more.
