I'd rather not be more specific, to avoid giving helpful tips to the scammer. (Fortunately, they haven't changed style much during recent years.) Look at all the other warning threads listed below and you will notice the pattern. Sends you check with extra money asking you to cash it and send extra cash back to him. If they want money by Western Union, you have a scammer. By the time the bank realizes check is bad, you are out the cash and hopefully haven't actually sent goods. Or you are out money and your property. If they will take care of shipping by having their shipper pick up gear. Scammer. All of this is SOP for scammers.50 donations so far. Give it a try. Like Monkeycndo suggested, look around in this forum and you'll see that these are all pretty similar. The classified section has short articles on Buyer and Seller scams. Lots of people have bought and sold gear successfully on here, but you have to excercise common sense and a bit of caution. Real buyers and sellers usually understand this and will provide references or allow an escrow deal (Search "Riggers as escrow" for more info on this process)."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
