Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be acting on behalf of a "client" or another "customer". Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be from Nigeria or West Africa If you agree to accept a check payment, then do not send anything, gear or "change" before the check cleared. And be careful, if you manage to clear a fraudulent check then you may be liable for the damages if the bank finds out later. Make sure your bank authenticates the check. monkycndo 0 #3 December 5, 2013 Classic scammer reply. Canned response with no info from original ad. Sent to any and all ads hoping for sucker to fall for it. Will pay by cashier check. It will be phony bank. If you send "item", you will be out the money from cashed check once bank takes money out of your account, and also you lose your gear you just shipped. Terrible use of "engrish" language. If you don't know the buyer, sell through a rigger/escrow or find someone that can vouch for the buyer. This sport is too small not to know someone that knows the other person.50 donations so far. Give it a try. Maybe there could be some sort of rating system for users... something like a feedback score. With so much gear being sold on dz.com, it would really be helpful. BKS60 0 #6 December 8, 2013 I got one from the same ASS using a different name and e-mail but the same phone number. Maybe the Mods can link his phone number, or someone track the number to a land address. That would be fun!"You don't get many warnings in this sport before you get damaged"

onelawndart 0 #8 December 9, 2013 I got this from him this morning: Hi ! Thanks for getting back to me. I am buying the item for my brother who happens to be a jumper. I am located in Indiana. I would like to see some recent pictures or videos of the item if you have them although I am OK with the one I saw on drop zone. So what re you letting it go for? I asked because I would like to have a bargain. What mode of payment do you accept? The only payment I have is by a cashier's check.. that is the only way I could complete the transaction right now. I am trying to complete this in a very timely manner because my monthly pay would be coming inn soon and can take care of things with it without stress or time wasting. I hope to hear from you soon, and you do not have to worry about the cost of the shipping of the items, I will take care of it and it should be excluded from the final price. Thank you very much as I await your swift response again. God bless. Regards, Corey. 765 233 6077 (Calls and sms but sms best to get me) I wonder if a fraudulent cashier's check would interest the usgovt? Someone should play along and turn it over to them.
