PhreeZone 20 #27 November 30, 2002 The heatwave is only similar in that its a 9 cell elliptical. Its a different taper angle, different trim, different... well a lot. Its not even the same material as a Stiletto.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
AndyMan 7 #28 November 30, 2002 Quotethe heatwave is a stilletto with a different name on the side Do you mean literally or figuratively...? The heatwave is manufactured by PISA in South Africa using Gelvenor zero-p fabric. It was introduced after the Stiletto and was designed to compete with it in the high performance market. When I last jumped one, I found it to turn much faster then my stiletto, would dive quicker, and had a comparable flare and similar recovery arc. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. Kris 0 #29 November 30, 2002 Quotethe heatwave is a stilletto with a different name on the side... feel free to correct me if I am wrong but thats what I heard.. -yoshi Having owned both canopies in the same size I can definitely tell you that they are not the same canopy. The Heatwave turns a bit faster but the Stiletto does not have near the amount of oversteer that the Heatwave does. Also, the bottom-end lift on the Stiletto was much stronger than on the Heatwave.
