I was hoping to read a review, or some info.



Once I get my hands on a demo, I'm going to write up a fairly lengthy review (for what that's worth with all of 700 jumps), comparing it to stuff I've jumped. Sabre2s, Stilletos, Cobalt, Heatwave, etc. I think I might just need to get my hands on a Vengence so I can compare it to that too.

I've just gotta wait for my name to come up on the list for demos. B|

Thats a smart plan - according to your profile I'd agree with waiting until you have a bit more experience before moving on to the high performance stuff.

Once the canopy gets closer to be ready we will for sure put out more information - and I'm sure you'll see reviews pop up here on dropzone.com :)Right now the canopy is in beta testing, and we keep on putting the jumps on it and gathering information on it - true to our motto of testing that thing to pieces before we release it :)

In regards to canopy sizing, I would imagine that it would definitely be no easy task. Manifold calculations are right up there with some of the most difficult math that one can do. Especially when it comes to something as subjective as this (ie, calculating the surface area of the bottom skin versus the top skin versus laid out on the ground versus in flight, etc).

Not yet, I called literally 15 times last week (every day during the work week) with in Icuras' business hours, but not only could I not get someone on the phone, my voicemail was not returned. (I only left 1 voicemail, but called a lot trying to actually get someone on the phone, all I got were voicemail boxes.)

I wanted to get a Crossfire2 for this coming weekend so I'd have something else to compare to, but apparently Icuras doesn't want to answer or return calls, so...

Needless to say I'm frustrated with their unwillingness to even return my voicemail.[:/]

their loss, eh dave? I guess that customer service thing is kind of crucial in points like this where someone is trying to decide which canopy to buy. :D

I had the exact same experience. Their customer service is atrocious, IMHO.

I'm not going to even try and defend Icarus's PR dept!
I can quite under how frustrated you must fill.
Howevever,when i wanted to demo one,i was fortunate to be jumping at a DZ where an authorised dealer was based with 'rare'demo canopies..
So don't give up your quest,the CF2 is truly a fantastic canopy and as a result of the demo i've ended up jumping one and the're ace...;)
