AggieDave 6 #1 September 15, 2003 I got an e-mail from the pst list talking about some sort of thing called a "rail-exit" at the new swoop "park" in Perris. What is that? (no, I don't think I'm anywhere near capable of even considering the thought of maybe trying for the pst. I'm on their list for shits and giggles and to keep track of whats going on).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." ramon 0 #2 September 15, 2003 I've been thinking about it and my total uneducated guess is that maybe they will exit the pond at some point and have to get freaky styley and grind down the rail..."Revolution is an abrupt change in the form of misgovernment.", Ambrose Bierce. YM4 0 #4 September 15, 2003 Anyone got a picture of the rail? I imagine is something like the ones used for wakeboarding, but smaller. Hope they are not thinking about steel rails!"It's not the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog!"
AggieDave 6 #5 September 15, 2003 Here, I screen captured it from the e-mail that was sent out on the PST list.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

You got it, sir! Don't know it it will be incorporated into any competitions, but it is a feature of the new swoop park being built at Perris. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?

Canuck 0 #8 September 15, 2003 The only use I can see this being any good for are the sky surfers. Rail Grinding in a pair of shoes doesn't really work, otherwise, we could save ourselves the rolerblades/skateboards/etc. and all just go giver shit on the curbs in our sneakers! Am I missing something!? Canuck
YM4 0 #9 September 15, 2003 Don't you remember the SOAP shoes? I still got mine. There great for grinding, but you should have some rollerblade experience. They are slippery as hell! When I bought my new SOAPS my best buddy wanted to build like a handrail at the DZ for swoop grinds.... I thought it was a bit crazy, but now that someoneelse came out with the idea. Fu¢# it! I'll try it. If things keep on going the way they are, maybe in a few years we'll be Swooping the half pipe! JeJe"It's not the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog!" LouDiamond 1 #10 September 15, 2003 There is an excellent picture in this months Skydiving of a guy busting his ass big time trying to land with roller blades on. I predict that we will see some spectacular ass busting shots if the rail thing actually gains any popularity."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
YM4 0 #11 September 15, 2003 I think a better idea would be to build a longer pond with the rails they use in wakeboarding, that might be better."It's not the size of the dog in the fight, It's the size of the fight in the dog!"
