AggieDave 6 #774 June 6, 2008 Its a Pro-Tec Shovelhead which is a full face downhill mountain biking helmet. Its light, the visibility is great and it actually offers real protection (unlike every skydiving helmet I've ever seen). The one I have is last years model and cost about $80 shipped. Here's a picture of this year's model from Pro-Tec's website. The only difference I could find was the paint scheme and that this year's model was out of stock every single place I looked (even at the factory and the regional distributor). http://www.pro-tec.net/bike/shovelhead/1.jpg--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
