skykeith 0 #1 September 22, 2003 I presently land using a 180 and have trouble keeping my accuracy consistent Would a 270 be more effective? Are there any traffic safety tips for the 270 landings thanks Keith
davelepka 4 #2 September 22, 2003 Have you considered going back to the 90? Or staying with the 180 untill you can work it? I think the World Cup of swooping is at your home DZ right now. You should be able to talk with some good people there.

That's like asking "I have trouble landing my Stiletto 120. Should I get a 97?" Start with 90's until your sight picture is set up and you are beginning the recovery arc exactly where you want. Then move to 180's, then 270's.
johnny1488 1 #4 September 23, 2003 I personally think 270's are better for overall swoop accuracy (for me at least, I can judge my distance and deviation better and seem to have a bit more range on the control of both) but if you cant get it down yet I also think you should take a step back. A 180 is a bit wierd but takes deviation almost out of the picture. Keep at it and try to see why you are missing your target. Ill gaurantee you it's not the 180. isaiah85 0 #5 September 23, 2003 For me the more relaxed I am the better my accuracy is. I find the more complex I try and make a swoop The worse results I have. When I'm setting up for a swoop if I am thinking, I need to be exactly here, at exactly this altitude, with exactly this amount of brakes. It makes me tense and my accuracy worse. If I stay relaxed and think, Ok, i'm going to swoop through there and land there it works. I would say keep working on the 180. Adding another 90 is only going to make things more complex.
