What's your favorite HP 9 cell?

ya know, I am quite surprised at the Cobalt's popularity on this poll as well. Unless I've missed something, nobody has actually said anything about jumping one, but 26 people have voted for it. I've only seen one in my life. Who are these 26 people?

I, on the other hand jump a SAMURAI! I have a bunch of friends who jump SAMURAIs. I see them at every dz I go to. Folks on this thread have pointed out they love the SAMURAI. Yet, there's only 14 votes? I am thinking globally, trying to understand, but for some reason, I don't get the Cobalt's popularity surpassing the Sam by nearly 2:1 on here.

I've seen tons of Cobalts, there's at least a dozen on my small dropzone alone. I've only seen two samurais, though, although everyone I've ever heard talk about them has said they love them.

And nobody has really said much about jumping anything. I was sort of hoping people would talk more about what they voted for and why, but I guess not. Anyway here's my choices:

XF2
stiletto
cobalt
jedei

I like the XF2 because it's everything I like about the stiletto (quick response, good openings) w/ better riser pressure, more dive, and more bottom end. The cobalt is a little boring to fly, but lands nice. The Jedei is OK, but not as good in flight or landing as the others. Also, airlocks are a pain in the ass. I've flown a nitron also, but only once, so I won't comment on it.

I did a very long write up of my impressions of the Firebolt after my jumps on it at WFFC.

I jump a Jedei that I like for the rigidity of the airlocks. Its got high riser pressue so thats a negitive for me. Plus the Jedei design is at last 7-8 years old. The Sam has a longer recovery arc, lighter pressure, better airfoil and keeps the rigidity of the airlocks. To me Airlocks are just as easy to deal with as any other canopy, I always fail to see what people have issues with Airlocks with.

The Stiletto was a fine canopy, just at a 1.78 loading it was somewhat twitchy. Nice canopy that was everything an elliptical should be.

200+ jumps on a Cobalt made for a nice canopy. Its a little more docile then some of the other stuff but it was a good responsive canopy none the less.

Careful someone might interpret that you are endorsing this canopy for beginners, say someone with under 200 jumps of experience.;)
