Spizzzarko 0 #3 November 11, 2003 Nice... I've gone just under 320' with my VX, but that's up here in Colorado, so the canopy's shut down a little faster up here.
ToeUp 0 #4 November 11, 2003 About 340 ft at the Perris pond during a practice run. 270 turn on my crossfire, and only loaded at about 1.7, but it turned out I had a 13 mph tailwind. Managed to stand it up .
Spizzzarko 0 #5 November 11, 2003 Didn't that just make your day? I have been sucked into the black pond of death there at perris before. I think they got a deal from the city and filled it with sewer water, because it sure tasted like shit...

skygod7777 0 #7 November 11, 2003 i really have no clue. i'm guessing into the 290's. the only one that i have measured was one that was into the wind, on a 240' course. i took the whole coarse (not like high above the ground, i could drag my toe if i wanted) and it was about 8 to 10 mph head wind. so downwind, or no wind, i have no clue, but i'm guessing 280, 290. who knows. later
eames 0 #8 November 11, 2003 My longest measured swoop is 398 ft. I flew a 345 and a 329 at the WC. I'm sure I've also done many downwinders that were well into the 4's. Anybody else see TJ's sick 500'+ downwinder at Perris last year? Jason
TB99 0 #9 November 11, 2003 I'm not the best swooper, hell, I suck I think, but am working on it ... This weekend (duing the swoop camp with Ian Bobo and Shannon Pilcher) I'm pretty sure I got to 200+ ft. I'm on a Sabre2 135 lightly loading at 1.15:1 doing 270s. Trailer 11/12 was the best. Thanks for the memories ... you guys rocked!
twnsnd 1 #10 November 11, 2003 I think I swooped 10 feet once, but nobody measured to make it official. -We are the Swoophaters. We have travelled back in time to hate on your swoops.-

Spizzzarko 0 #14 November 12, 2003 I have been radared at 55 in my hook turn once, but it was a super low turn, so I was in brakes as soon as I was out of the turn. I could have gone a lot faster. SO, HOW FAST HAVE YOU GONE SPEED BOY?

AggieDave 6 #18 November 12, 2003 On my big-ass heatwave, I've actually gone about 275ft. That was one of those *everything was perfect* swoops, not an everytime type thing. I took a friends Sabre2 190 about 250ft one day.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
lazyfrog 0 #19 November 12, 2003 I'd say less than 100ft, maybe not MUCH less, but certainly NOT over---------- Fumer tue, péter pue ------------- ourson #10, Mosquito Uno, CBT

AggieDave 6 #21 November 13, 2003 Well, there is no video, about 4 or 5 people (including a pro-swooper) saw it. I know it was that far simply because it was on our "swoop strip" and its marked off every 100ft. That and I entered about 10 ft before the end of the hanger (its right next to the hanger) and swooped to the end of the hanger. Also, realize what I was loading that 190 at. Almost 1.5:1, toss a big-fat 270 and that thing will move. So, believe me if you want, don't believe me if you want, eitherway it really makes no difference to me.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." TLawTB24 0 #23 December 5, 2003 I swooped 106ft the other day on my fx99 - Longest one so far! I was totally stoked. Felt like I was soaring forever. The hard part is to get the wing going fast enough. Airflow is the major part of creating lift.
