Rdutch 0 #1 March 1, 2004 At my dropzone we dont have a pond, so when I get the urge to swoop water (which I always have) I have to drive an hour and a half to Zhills to swoop their pond. Would you drive to another Dz just based on the fact that they had a pond. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
AggieDave 6 #2 March 1, 2004 If its important to you, then why not? What if you headed up a project commitee, presented your DZO with a viable plan to build and maintain the pond (with projected costs) and approached the Airport Manager with the DZO about it?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
 bertusgeert 1 #6 March 1, 2004 as a newbie here, what is the advantage of a pond when swooping? Are you hoping for a softer impact if this should happen? Or because you get a nice roostertail? We just set up a sweet 340ft swooplane with those noodle things every 20 ft to get distance. It looks pretty sweet. And the dust provides the roosertail! --------------------------------------------- As jy dom is moet jy bloei!
