Squeak 17 #1 October 9, 2002 Frighten the begeesus outa me hanging from the wing strut, AFF 5 went well, but having trouble maintaining good legs, so box position is flat, came in fast (no wind) and droped to knees but no damage. AFF 6 still scary hanging off the wing, kicked lega abit on exit, and flat box position AGAIN. I seem to be having a lot of trouble getting my leg correct. Borth jumps did 360 degree turns left and right and forward pinning. AFF6 also had 180degree turn off b4 wave and pull. Landed AFF6 without any TA asistance (hadn't done that b4) Landing was a lttle off target but into wind and on my feet. SKYDIVING RULES!!! cHEIF iNSTRUCTOR HAS CLEARED ME TO SOLO AND CONSOLIDATE HOW HAPPY AM iYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! Chief 0 #5 October 9, 2002 Congrats to you and welcome. If you can get someone to shoot video for you, it will help withyour legs. I had leg problems early on. Someone video-ed me and instantly I saw, and later corrected, the problem. Stay Safe

Airhead 0 #7 October 9, 2002 How VERY COOL, Squeak! I'm cheering for ya...I'm doing my AFP6&7 this Saturday. It's so encouraging to read about another student's training experiences and how it is goin' for them...YA
Squeak 17 #8 October 9, 2002 Thanks airhead, My instructors are VERY experienced, aprox 13000 jumps between them, one does camera and one does the "float in front and show me how it should be done" bit. Both are very encouraging, which helps alot. Strangely enough the scariest part of all of this is climing out the plane not the fall or landing. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! Squeak 17 #13 April 29, 2012 QuoteCongrats!!!!! I'm hoping to soon be there too! What was it like for you to do the level 1 jump? He does that compare to now? Mt AFF1 was nearly 10 years ago now, I still remember it clearly, other than the initial opening of the door it didn't phase me much. It took me 7 jumps to actually "get" skydiving. Now at 1200 jump it much more about trying to improve my limited skillYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
