jdhill 0 #2 November 16, 2004 I know that ditch pretty well, and that look pretty close to a helicopter ride... JAll that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
packerboy 3 #3 November 17, 2004 Because I know that it wasn't a helicopter ride.... I have to say that my sides hurt from laughing. Initially I was laughing at the landing, but then I was laughing at his buddy who can't even contain himself for a second and stop laughing. WOW was this guy ever cooking in!!! I didn't even see a high performance turn of sorts.... I'd be interested to know the canopy size & wingloading. I believe those are stock colours for a Sabre2??? porkchop 0 #4 November 17, 2004 OK, this is the guy that was flying the canopy. I was jumping my Xaos-27 94 sq/ft. I wing load it at about 2.65:1 and was flying down wind in 8-12 kts at EENT. The part of the video that you don't see is me setting up on a 270 and getting off the wind line. I had to carve the last part of the dive to line up on the pond. Obviously I miss judged the ground and didn't plane out anywhere near where I should have. Hope that helps. Kane I am the account holder and am the one picking his shoes out of the pond for him. It was very funny. I can't think right now, because I am in the mix!
packerboy 3 #5 November 17, 2004 I laugh harder every time I see it... I think I would be pissing myself if it was one of my buddies! Glad you're OK dude! SkymonkeyONE 4 #6 November 17, 2004 Not that I won't or don't tell my boy Kane in person, but 2.65 is not an optimum wingload for swooping under any canopy. Repeated ass-over-tea kettle landings, hip skips, and pond maladies ought to be more than enough impetus to make anyone realize it's time to upsize. ianmdrennan 2 #7 November 17, 2004 Anyone got those clips in WMV or MOV format? I refuse to put that Real Media crap on my computer.....Performance Designs Factory Team
katiebear21 0 #8 November 17, 2004 My .wmv file was too big to upload. I use Adobe - you could give me another compression technique to get it down to size and I'll gladly upload it. You'd get a laugh! Cane - dude, you know I love you. You know I'm just kidding with ya. Simon had to point out to us several times how your shoes actually came right off your feet. On the original we can see the top 2 inches of sock by your toes fill up with water!!! That was too funny! Glad you're ok, homey! ianmdrennan 2 #9 November 17, 2004 Sure thing - download windows media encoder 9 here I've compressed 20 mins of video to 40 mb so it should do the job Thanks!! IanPerformance Designs Factory Team
porkchop 0 #10 November 18, 2004 I will have to give Katie the other angle so you guys can see the train wreck when he hit the grass. The video you see now the camera man was laughing to hard to film it. I can't think right now, because I am in the mix!
IMGR2 0 #11 November 21, 2004 All I can say is DAMN! I agree with Chuckie Blue, 2.65 w.l. is a little rockin especially if your jump numbers are correct in your profile. Glad to see you walked away though.
porkchop 0 #12 November 22, 2004 The guy crashing in the video was not me. He replied under my account because I was on line at the time. Simon I can't think right now, because I am in the mix!

kanesmith 0 #14 November 24, 2004 Yeah the 2.65 is a bit high, but that is with camera and all gear. I do like the speed of that canopy, but I'm looking to upsize for performance. Thinking about getting a Velo 103 soon. Regards
SkymonkeyONE 4 #15 November 24, 2004 Do not buy a velo loaded at higher than 2.1 then.

jeiber 0 #19 December 16, 2004 I had to watch it over and over... People in my office had to come over to see what I was laughing at. I have to say, the pre jump interview made it that much funnier! Jeff ps- glad he's ok!Shhh... you hear that sound? That's the sound of nobody caring!
