mayday1 0 #1 December 4, 2002 What actually is the difference between a Crossfire and a Crossfire2? The impression I get is that the Crossfire 2 has the improved line trim, which dogged some of the early US canopies. I jump a crossfire, which came from the NZ Factory with the "proper" line trims. Are there any other differences? Or do I actually jump a "Crossfire 1.5"? Cheers
skycat 0 #2 December 4, 2002 They aren't even in the same ballpark. I've jumped a crossfire1(from spain) 104 and a crossfire2 108 The crossfire2 has faster turns, more sesitive to harnes imput, more flare, longer recovery arch. They both have the same low front riser pressure, same great openings (the 2 may be a little faster, but still soft) The crossfire2 is actually designed different, it is more elliptical, and the nose openings have been moved closer to the bottom skin.Fly it like you stole it! TALONSKY 0 #3 December 4, 2002 The difference is quite a a lot. The Crossfire 2 has a lot lighter riser pressure, it turns quicker, has a longer recovery arce and is alot more harness sensitive. The Crossfire 2 is more ground hungry which means it flies a lot faster. They still have that great openning that the Crossfire is known for.
