CPC Championships invitation list

Recommended Posts

Wow 45 amateur competitors (plus the Pros who come to do their own thing). This is by far the biggest swoop meet I've ever competed in. It should be fun. It's 3 rounds of Distance, Speed and Zone Accuracy right? I must get off of DZ.COM now and get to the DZ to get some practice in. I've got 44 other people to work on beating. :)

I'm not sure if everyone is going?

If you're coming please put yourself on the list. I think this is going to be a great time!

Attendees (from prior posts):

Todd Spillers
Stuart Shoenfeld
JP Furnari
Nick Batsch
David Billings
Grant Adams
Jason Russell
Aubrey Cundell
Steve Armstrong
Ian Drennan
Brian McNenny
Paul Roussouw
Mark Shimell

That's 13 so far - I'm sure there are others coming - fess up :D

Just 2 more weekends and I'm out there - can't wait.

Yes this is true, the original post was the invite list, not the list of attendees. CJ Hartwigsen should be here as he dropped by the DZ to get some practice in last weekend (he's from NM even though he competed in Southern Cal this summer).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I notice what appear to be the only 2 women on the invite list are both from Texas and both jump at Skydive Houston.

Way to go Kat and Brit! B|

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely and in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy sh1t...what a ride!"

Bummer ... I was hoping to see you here. You better compete again next year. I had a blast and learned so much this year. We had a great season and I think the up and coming (safe) swooper should join us running gates (and for the truly lucky, swooping a pond). You don't need a cross-braced pocket rocket canopy to swoop a course. If people can fly clean by making the entry gates, then they will be setting themselves up to fly well no matter what canopy they jump. So get your butts off of the couches next year folks and join the CPC ranks.

Once again Brits, it's a bummer you won't be here. But we can't do it all right?

American Airlines (RT Chicago/Denver): $218.40
Payless car rental (4 days): $100.69
Super 8 in Longmont (3 nights): $165 + tax
CPC registration: $150

chance to compete with the top amateurs in the country: priceless

Don't forget that once us amateurs are done, we get to watch some of the best in the world swoop at altitude for the first time. That's priceless as well ...
