CanuckInUSA 0 #2 August 26, 2005 Wow 45 amateur competitors (plus the Pros who come to do their own thing). This is by far the biggest swoop meet I've ever competed in. It should be fun. It's 3 rounds of Distance, Speed and Zone Accuracy right? I must get off of DZ.COM now and get to the DZ to get some practice in. I've got 44 other people to work on beating. CJ Hartwigsen should be here as he dropped by the DZ to get some practice in last weekend (he's from NM even though he competed in Southern Cal this summer). hippydiver 0 #6 August 26, 2005 Correct me if I'm wrong, but I notice what appear to be the only 2 women on the invite list are both from Texas and both jump at Skydive Houston. Way to go Kat and Brit! ---------- gravity rat formula 109 Team Gonzo and Team Jamaican Me Crazy no bullshit, let's just fly, be safe, and have fun. IBTOMP 0 #8 August 28, 2005 I'll will be there. Arriving Wed the 7th for a little practice. TomLife's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely and in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy sh1t...what a ride!" CanuckInUSA 0 #10 August 29, 2005 Bummer ... I was hoping to see you here. You better compete again next year. I had a blast and learned so much this year. We had a great season and I think the up and coming (safe) swooper should join us running gates (and for the truly lucky, swooping a pond). You don't need a cross-braced pocket rocket canopy to swoop a course. If people can fly clean by making the entry gates, then they will be setting themselves up to fly well no matter what canopy they jump. So get your butts off of the couches next year folks and join the CPC ranks. Once again Brits, it's a bummer you won't be here. But we can't do it all right?
