spidermonky 0 #1 December 5, 2002 I found a rig in the classifieds that is a Mirage M4. I was under the impression that the M was a sizing number for a G3. The seller told me it was not a G3. So my question is; would an M4 (DOM '99) have equal characteristics (quality, bridle protection, etc) as a G3? Or are they the same thing? Thanks
grega 0 #2 December 5, 2002 What is it then if it's not G3. G3 was first made in 1998. And it surely isn't G4 (july 2002) "George just lucky i guess!"
sar911 0 #3 December 5, 2002 Go to http://www.miragesys.com/news.html The Mirage G4 did not come out until July 1, 2002
Spy38W 0 #4 December 5, 2002 I'm guessing it's probably an M4 sized G3 owned (stolen perhaps?) by somebody uninformed... Did they happen to say what size canopies it would hold? Unisyn 0 #5 December 5, 2002 If the Mirage M4 container was built in 1999 then it is a Mirage G3. Many people confuse the fact that some containers have the sidewall logo and other do not with whether or not it is a G3. If you have any questions on the sizing of the container don't hesitate contacting Mirage directly. They can get you all the original information and most likely and repair information also. email tech@miragesys.com

wlie 0 #7 December 5, 2002 I've got an M4 Mirage and it ain't a G3. It was made in '97 and came with velcro riser covers.I believe M# really stands for the pack volume the container can hold. PM UNISYN as he'll be able to tell you more. My other ride is the relative wind.
