Ashtanga 0 #6 September 28, 2005 Just a general question. Why aren't there more champion swoopers competing at The Ranch as in past years? I know Team Extreme is no longer but none of them competed as well as PD or Xaos members besides Jeffro?
ntacfreefly 0 #7 September 28, 2005 Too many events in too short a time span IMO. There were literally 4 weeks of competitions in a row for canopy pilots 1) Nationals 2) CPC - Linked to 3 3) GoFast Challenge (both CPC and Pro pilots) - linked to 2 4) The Ranch I'd like to have attended all of them but the vacation time (or if you're a full time skydiver, revenue generating weekends) to attend all events was simply too much. I suspect I'm not the only one - most people I know made nats and the colorado stuff. erikzero 0 #13 October 12, 2005 yea, I noticed that too. I guess that's good for the ones in the comp. They where able to place this year. and get a hold of some cash. shit.... If I knew what the turnout was going to be I would have entered the comp.

johnny1488 1 #15 October 12, 2005 Quoteshit.... If I knew what the turnout was going to be I would have entered the comp. Why does that matter? You are guaranteed to have fun (just so long as attitudes are left at the door!!). This has always been an event based around the competitors and them having fun. Talk to Mike Ennis (Nullified) about whether you have to place to have fun. Ask Mike Shatalov (Frost) if you have to be assured money to consider competeing. Although he should have gotten wet! Anyway the more people come out to these meets and compete, the more fun we all have. See you next year. Johnny --"This ain't no book club, we're all gonna die!"
